The short answer: Sort Feed is a Chrome extension, full stop. Chromium-based browsers that accept Chrome Web Store extensions — Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera — can generally run it too. There is no Firefox add-on, no Safari extension, and no mobile version for Android or iOS. Any site offering a “Sort Feed APK” is repackaging something that isn’t the real product; skip it.

Installing on Edge, Brave and friends
Open the official Chrome Web Store listing in the browser, click “Add to Chrome” (Edge shows an extra confirmation for store cross-compatibility), pin the icon, and the sorting panel works on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook exactly as it does in Chrome. If nothing happens after install, the fixes in the not-working guide apply to Chromium browsers too — hard refresh first.
One honest caveat: the developer builds and tests against Chrome. A Chromium quirk that breaks something in, say, Opera may take longer to get attention than a Chrome bug. If your research workflow depends on the extension daily, Chrome is the lowest-friction home for it.
Why no Firefox version?
Firefox uses its own extension format and store, so supporting it means maintaining a second build. For a one-person company — release history in the changelog — every platform port competes with fixing the platforms 80,000+ existing users are already on. Searches for “Sort Feed extension Firefox” are common enough that a port may happen someday; today it doesn’t exist, and nothing on Firefox Add-ons claiming otherwise is official.
What to do on mobile
Nothing runs the extension on a phone, but the workflow has a mobile-friendly seam: do the sorting on desktop, export to Google Sheets or CSV, and read the ranked results anywhere. The export carries links, timestamps and metrics for every post, so the phone half of your research — watching the winning reels themselves — happens right in the Instagram or TikTok app from the exported links.
The bottom line
